The marbled snapapple is a relatively close offshoot of the eofrog which had adapted to a creeping, stalking form of hunting known as cryptic locomotion. Like our timeline’s chameleon, the swaying, unpredictable, slow movement of the snapapple, along with its disorienting skin pattern, lets the snapapple take its time in approaching unsuspecting prey.
When resting, the snapapple tucks its legs under itself and adheres to a branch, camouflaging itself as a leafy growth. |
