The dogus is a close cousin to the greater moistboy, and similarly benefits from raising its amphibian frame off of the ground, to be able to see over the reeds of its marshy environment and become faster, more agile.
The dogus is a grazing herbivore which lives in herds. It consumes reeds and fungus using a neotenous feature, a keratin beak carried over from its tadpole days. This adaptation lets it shear food easily and grind it with back molars adapted from the carnivorous eofrog's dentition. The dogus’ greatest predator is the greater moistboy. The dogus is significantly larger than the moistboy, so moistboys will trail a wandering herd of dogus with the intent of singling out the old, weak or infirm. |
